The year 2080

If I had one wish, I would wish for people to be able to wake up to the reality of this reality: time, el tiempo, changed constantly by the evolution of the Human Race.  If you went back in time to let’s say 1940, you would notice a couple of things: 1)  you just traveled back in time!, and  2)  time would seem like it was measured by a different set of physical rules.  This is because time will carry more weight; each second in 1940 might be 6.7 seconds in 2010.  You would walk down a “busy” avenue and realize that their “busy” is soooooo slow.  That’s right, you would actually feel the difference.

We don’t account for the weight and change that Human Evolution carries.  Evolution=Technology.

Now, imagine there was a time traveler from the future (maybe the year 2080) that came to Tuesday, November 16th 2010 3:10 PM.  How would the time traveler feel about our time?  Would the traveler feel as though our time is maybe measured by a different set of physical rules?  Would the traveler feel like our busiest intersection is soooo slow.  Would the traveler feel the weight of our collective drag?

Finally, conceptualize my main point:  New Technology will speed up time; in turn, more Humans will spend more time using some kind of device that provides entertainment, news and access to the web…and little by little we’re going to pay less attention to what’s actually going on around us.  To a certain extent this has already happened and is evidenced by our acceptance of war, invasion, child abuse (especially in the church), etc.   Now think of the year 2080…will our descendants be totally reliant upon the machine?  Is a Matrix being created all around you, while you’re too busy with the hardships of life (while, of course, still having time for technology…you’ll live right?)

To me, true independence and free thought is the definition of being Human;  all the noise around us is just setting the stage for the complete opposite to “occur”.

Say what???

“hhhmmm… some homeless guy gave me a piece of paper that said “www.trapbyall.com” i never heard of you before but i like your voice and your tunes …good job with the blog. next time i see that homeless guy i’ll give him a dollar for sure :p ”

Thanks for checking out the blog and the songs.  You know they say God works in mysterious ways…{so this is what my management means by “thinking outside the box”} that’s funny to me  … What a great story, confusing and refreshing at the same time (seems like the feeling is mutual).

Gotta go!

A poem that defines a true Artist.

These words mean a lot to me. I can only share and hope that you understand.

“We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.”

Arthur William Edgar O’Shaughnessy
(March 14, 1844–January 30, 1881)

Old souls reading this poem.

What? Mexican……CUBAN?

YES.

I am Mexican and I am Cuban. As a result, I am Crazy. My ethnicity is literally under the letter “C” in the Dictionary, right there under Craze..

CRAZY- To be of Mexican & Cuban descent.

I say this in all honesty and I just wanted you to know that. haha. That’s funny in that not-so-funny way isn’t.

I’m like that cheat in your favorite video game, you KNOW you want to pass the game on your own…but sometimes you need that special combination of up and down arrows and left, right, up, up, down, down and this and that….that’s where Trapbyall comes in…I got that advice for ya that you’ll figure out by your own experience in 5-10 years. In general, I got that vibe that you know will be an asset for you.

What can I say? I’M JUST THAT COO. “Ah, yeah yeah…whatever…you’re not thaaaaat cool…” (well you’re just a jealous little bugger arent cha?)

Regardless, I have to say that, and finally admit it, I always thought that my craziness was real. Like, real REAL. Like, REAL REAL REAL. What’s interesting about that is that I have always believed that the people, or the General Population if you will, have this unspoken sorrow that they share with each other because they know they are defeated. The product of which is setting the bar for the amount of acceptable craziness people are willing to put up with i.e. war, invasion, priests fucking innocent children, it goes on and on…

All of them, defeated by the work that doesn’t pay enough money to support a family of 4 plus all the surprise expenses (Rich people, if you’re reading this then this is the first time you have experienced the words and inherent meaning thereof SURPRISE EXPENSES…please remain calm and try not to frighten)

Defeated by a lot of shit, by the same shit actually, by a burden that they all carry on their shoulders like African Tribes members lugging pales of water for miles on end…

Defeated by a life that they are too afraid to actually live out, live through, live in…to live IT…LIFFFFFFFE.

A burden of infinite Shit. Like being forced to watch Jersey Shore.
(and here I was thinking that “D” stood for Defense…brings new meaning to ‘ay kid, you gotta work on your D.’)

So I sing to all the defeated people…because all along I thought it was

my own pain

that created this energy that allows me to connect with people through words and music….but it was actually the opposite. It’s not so much that I’m drawing them into my performance, it’s more like they’re drawing me in…like that cheat in the video game I can fill in the cracks and ease the pain of feeling like you can’t get through these levels of life.

Essentially, I am a drug that you are taking. So, fine, I accept my role and responsibility as an Artist; with an immense respect for the craft and the greats of our time. Ok? coo?…alright? OK. Until next time then ay.

Sincerely, At peace, In love, With a heavy heart and a tainted smile

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996)

14 years ago today, Tupac Amaru Shakur was shot and killed in Las Vegas.  The man is responsible for my music and his influence will always be present in my songs.  Some people don’t understand why I have such an allegiance/connection with 2pac and his music…only thing I can tell you is that no one is perfect and this man had his flaws just like your ass has your flaws.  Of course the difference is that Pac inspired the world and continues to inspire millions despite minimal airplay…and you have inspir….oh wait, you have flaws and that’s about it, no real contribution to society.

Art is expression without boundaries, without fear of what “people might think” and 2pac was a master at expressing his soul.

Most people just want to be accepted and are defined by whatever seems to be the popular mentality at any given moment…what a sad existence.

RIP 2pac

The Truck

It’s a green 1977  Stepside Chevy Cheyenne.  This truck is the inspiration for a song that I have been working on.  Yesterday, we used it to haul a mattress and a box spring from Moreno Valley.  The truck was purchased by my brother for $800.00 and I have to admit it has grown on me.  If we could make it a diesel type it would be perfect.  Anyway, here it is as part of my profile pic for facebook:
